2030 Agenda:
Are we Planet Hope?

For the first time in its history, the Federal Palace in Bern was bathed in the colours of the UN’s 2030 Agenda. The traditional light spectacle was held under the motto “Planet Hope”. But are we really on the way to sustainable and hopeful development? Side events to the light show explored this question, focusing on the 2030 Agenda. Together with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), CDE organized the opening event. It focused on global social inequalities. Earlier in the year, a CDE research publication shed light on national strategies for implementing the 2030 Agenda, using Switzerland as a case study.
